Observed annually on November 11, Veterans Day sees grateful citizens nationwide honor the sacrifices made each and every day by our military heroes. And of course, Daytona Beach is no exception — in fact, our area likes to show its appreciation for those who have served with patriotic observances, events and displays.
In 2025, the month of November offers many local opportunities to salute those who have given so much to preserve our freedoms. Consider these highlights among the many ways to honor our nation’s veterans this November (and even year-round) in the Daytona Beach area:
2025 Veterans Day Events & Celebrations near Daytona Beach
- Veterans Day Tribute at Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens: Held annually during the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, this tribute in Ormond Beach offers patriotic music and inspirational speakers that pay tribute to those who defend our freedom. This year’s Veterans Day Tribute will be formatted as a USO-style show incorporating music, dance, comedy, special guests and more. The Halifax Repertory Theatre and the Daytona Beach Choral Society are scheduled to perform.

- Veterans Day at Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum: Held on November 11, special activities will take place at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum that will honor U.S. active duty, auxiliary, veterans and their families of the Coast Guard. In addition, there will be a Veterans Day ceremony at 10 a.m. at Davies Lighthouse Park.

Veterans Memorials & Museums in Daytona Beach
- Military Tributes at Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens: This museum was created in 1946 to honor the service of World War II veterans, and its gardens are home to additional tributes to veterans of a range of U.S. wars.

- Ponce Inlet Veterans Memorial: Located at the Davies Lighthouse Park in Ponce Inlet, this memorial features a walkway made with engraved pavers honoring local veterans, a monument, and a yardarm-style flagpole flying the U.S. flag and the flags of all of the military service branches.

- Veterans Memorial Plaza: Located on the northwest corner of the Tom Staed Veterans Memorial Bridge in Daytona Beach, the plaza is the final phase of Volusia County’s memorial to veterans along the Halifax River. The riverfront plaza provides a dedicated location where residents and visitors can memorialize and honor the valiant men and women who lost their lives while defending our freedom. Features include flags representing the six branches of the U.S. Military, a World War I memorial, and a six-foot fire monument with the names of Volusia County residents who died in the line of duty.
